Black cardamom, also known as badi elaichi or kali elaichi, is a well known Indian spice that is used in many cuisine and different dishes. It comes in the shape of seed pods, dark brown to black in color and have a smoky flavor due to the manner they're dried. Cardamom is utilized for its bold, assertive flavor and is the world's third most costly spice, after vanilla and saffron respectively.
